Meeting notes from 13 Sept 07

Robert, Nicci and Lola attended.

Main points discussed:

  1. PROCESS for recruitment/inquiries: Formal response from someone on Organising group - get contact details, send one-pager. Give Robert their contact details if they agree to this OR give them Robert's work mobile #
  2. VOLUNTEER needed for project: To manage storage and transport of drums to venues, & to be the hep C educator at events. HCCSA Info Stall volunteer would be ideal. (Nicci to follow up with Cecilia)
  3. LAUNCH of the project: Should be a formal launch to networks and stakeholders, also creates a media promotion opportunity. (Nicci & Lola to secure suitable opportunity)
  4. MEDIA RELEASE: (Lola will organise through RASA - may take awhile)
  5. PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL: One-pager useful for general promotions ie with workers (Lola will get RASA to design). A simpler version needed for direct promotion with community, which includes dates/opportunities (create when dates are set). Blog URL to be included on materials for extra infomation
  6. EVENTS: Aim for one opportunity per month. HCCSA & PEACE both planning to have info stalls at Dec. Multicultural Festival - good opportunity to have drum presence. (Lola will check with organisers re: playing drums at the event)

Next meeting is Thurs 11 Oct at HCCSA, 2-4pm. Robert will be a bit late. Main points for this meeting: Launch, Community materials, Project image, Event opportunities, Drum drive, Communications, Evaluation, Project volunteer job description. Any other agenda items, just bring them with you.

DRUM DRIVE: Nicci has put out another call for donation of drums via the HCCSA membership. Keep a look out for other opportunities via your networks and media contacts.
